§ 14-160. Right of entry of inspector.

  • The authority having jurisdiction shall designate and direct an electrical inspector, who shall have the right during reasonable hours to enter any building, public or private, manhole or subway in the discharge of his official duties or for the purpose of making any test of the electrical apparatus or appliances therein contained. For that purpose he shall be given prompt access to such buildings, manholes and subways upon notice to the person owning or in control of any such building, manhole or subway. The designated inspector shall have the right to enter during an emergency without notice if the owner or responsible person cannot be located in a reasonable amount of time.
