§ 72-49. Venting and flaring of gas.
No person engaged in drilling and/or operating any well shall permit gas to escape or be vented into the air unless said gas is flared and burned. All gas flared or burned from a torch, pipe or another burning device within the city limits must be done in such manner so as not to constitute a fire hazard to any property and the location of the torch, pipe or any other burning device, the construction thereof, the maintenance thereof, and the operation thereof, shall at all times be in full compliance with such regulations as may from time to time be issued by the oil and gas inspector of the city.
